My shop name pretty much describes me...I am addicted to beads, especially handmade beads and the jewelry they become! My favorite technique is wire wrapping - it amazes me what can be done with a piece of wire. And, when a beautiful bead is encapsulated within the wire, well... that to me is wearable art! More recently, I have ventured into metalsmithing.

I was inspired to make jewelry by the craftiest of crafters, my mother. She had taken several lapidary classes when she lived in Florida several years ago, and her daughters and grand-daughters were the recipients of her designs....no complaints here!

I spend hours hunting for crystals, gemstones, and especially handmade artisan beads and components. For me, the bead dictates the design…whether it should be made into earrings, necklace, bracelet, anklets, even rings. I began my journey by using sterling silver, but have since ventured into copper, brass, and bronze as well. The warmth and depth of these metals enhances the beauty of the chosen component.

I also have a love of animals, and a deep appreciation for animal rescue. There is one rescue in particular that I have supported for well over 12 years. Miracle Horse Rescue (www.miraclehorse.com), now located in the heart of Idaho, is comprised of a wife/husband team who have dedicated their lives to beautiful equines who have been abused, neglected, or were on their way to slaughter. 100% of the net proceeds from sales in my shop are donated directly to Miracle Horse Rescue (MHR), a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Organization. On occasion, I have been gifted beads by extremely talented and generous artists who want to help me in my support of MHR - artists helping artists...such a wonderful concept! I am so grateful for their support in my efforts!
